Smoky Mountains, Glamour, Beauty and the Nude Photo Workshop

Date: Sept. 14-17, 2017 Three Days, Limited In Size!
Time: 9:30 a.m. till 5 p.m. each day of shooting
Location: Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge Area, Tennessee
Prices: $1299 Early-Bird Pricing (Regularly $1999, so save $700 now!)

We’re back in Tennessee, specifically in the Smoky Mountains (Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge area) for a special three-day photography workshop with up to five gorgeous models, plus assistants. Come have fun, learn and enjoy photographing gorgeous models. Once it’s sold-out, it’s sold-out! While we’ve done hundreds of photography workshops in the past 16 years, this is our third Smoky Mountain workshop and the previous ones sold-out!

We limit the size of the photography workshop because we photograph in a luxury cabin, the the outdoors during the event which allows networking and discussing the photo shoots after we’re done shooting for the day.

A cabin in Smoky Mountains smiliar to our location.

Besides photographing models in the luxury cabin up in the Smoky Mountains with Rolando and his team of models and assistants, you will photograph all the models over three days including memorable outdoor locations. This format allows you to photograph each model at amazing and unique locations, with hands-on support by Rolando and his crew. Consider this semi-private photography instruction. At the end of each shoot day, the “gang” will do things together, like BBQ or hitting the town for some nice dining. Price don’t include lodging, meals and drinks, but with group effort we make it affordable for everyone.

glamour photography workshops

Amy, one of our models poses at one of our photography workshops.

This workshop is open to photographers of all levels, beginners to advanced, but is a first-come, first serve limited in size and you must be 18-years of age or older to attend! Once it sells out, it’s sold-out! Lighting equipment is provided, though you may bring your own; you must  bring your camera(s). We will focus on a format that ensures quality photography, plus relax time with the group. The shooting location provides for unique photos very few photographers in the world would be able to capture without spending thousands in expenses and you get it for a fraction of the cost. Professional make-up and hair is also provided for each model.

Here are the particulars:

1. You must pay for your own travel and lodging. We will provide recommendations, but look for something in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. You are responsible for most meals and drinks, though some will be provided. You must be at least 18 years of age or older to attend. Beginners may attend too, as we work with all levels of photography.

Glamour Model Photography Workshop

Photograph beautiful models at our photography workshops.

2. Bring your camera, preferably a DSLR. It must have a hotshoe (where you flash slides on top) or as a minimum, a PC cord connection for our studio flash–we provide lighting equipment but you may bring your own. Plus we’ll be mixing natural daylight with tungsten and flash too.

3. You must have the passion to photograph up to five beautiful models. The type of photography is fashion, glamour, beauty and nude photography for most models. You will have three days to photograph them in all their beauty, from fashion to glamour nude.

4. While it’s intense, we’ll have fun in this educational experience. Bring your coffee, but surely bring some Red Bull for energy because this is an energized workshop.

5. Camera requirements are any type of camera, preferably 35mm DSLR or SLR, medium or large format is optional. Lens focal range, from 24mm to 200mm, though a typical 70-200mm lens is all you need. I prefer my prime 85mm, but anything in the 50-105mm range is best. A back-up drive to download your images and/or laptop computer is recommended. If you have a Sony (Minolta) camera, please ensure you have a hot shoe adapter or PC cord connection. Feel free to bring your camera flash if you have one, otherwise we’ll provide studio lighting and reflectors.

6. Professionalism is required, we’re there to capture beautiful images of beautiful models. If you have Pocket Wizard remotes, bring them too, though not required as we’ll have our own radio triggers. We’ll work with beauty dishes, softboxes, reflectors and more, all provided by us!

7. Some refreshments are provided but you are responsible for most meals and drinks though we will do group events including a bbq.

If you can meet the requirements and you have the passion to create some beautiful, unique images that few photographers will ever have, this is the workshop for you. We accept payments securely through PayPal and have other options if you prefer. This is a first-come, first-serve event as class size is limited. This is the early-bird price, prices will go up soon, so don’t delay, book now before it’s too late! We’ve used PayPal securely for over 16 years.

Cabo Model Photography Workshop

We will photograph “Los Arcos” at this model photography workshop in Cabo.

We’re headed to the beautiful Cabo San Lucas, yes, the tip of the Baja California Mexico Peninsula, where you’ll photograph our models on beaches and great locations. This is a model photography adventure while exploring the state of Baja California Sur. While our focus is photographing up to five models, we’ll take the time to explore the highlights too, like the famous “Los Arcos” geological formation and even relax for a drink at Sammy Hagar’s “Cabo Wabo” bar.

Photography Workshop Model

One of our workshop models poses at a previous workshop.

It’s all about taking great photos of models in great locations, from beaches to cobblestone streets, and it’s also about taking the time to relax a bit too.

This photography workshop is the weekend after Memorial Day, so you can capitalize on less expensive airfare and lodging. We will photograph models Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Come before the photography workshop, and stay after the photography workshop, just be prepared to take some great photos during the weekend!

Particulars

Here are the particulars, arrive Thursday June 1st, by 7 p.m. as we’ll meet for dinner that evening at a designated location and make introductions and plan out our shoots for the weekend. The workshop wraps up Sunday evening, so it’s up to you how early and how late you’d like to stay and enjoy this great location.

The airport is Los Cabos International Airport and the airport code is SJD and it’s a short taxi ride into the Cabo San Lucas tourist corridor area where we’ll be based.

Book any hotel in the Cabo San Lucas tourist corridor and we’ll meet up every day at a specific location, so you get to choose the level of economy or luxury you’d like as taxi fares are cheap. Hotels vary from $100 a night and up, again, depending on your level of luxury. We will make recommendations too. We recommend that you use Hotels.com or a similar site to check the local rates.

You are responsible for your travel, food, beverages and lodging, we provide the models, guidance, and photography instruction to ensure you capture some great photos. You will photograph models each day, throughout the day.

Feel free to bring a camera flash, though we’ll have some gear for your use and will show you how to use natural reflectors and the ambient light to your advantage. Camera requirements are any type of camera, preferably 35mm DSLR or SLR, medium or large format is optional. Lens focal range, from 24mm to 200mm, though a typical 70-200mm lens is all you need. Bring a laptop computer or a backup storage device to back up your images. Photo critiques will be provided throughout this photography adventure.

Model, Photography Workshop

We ask that you are physically fit enough to do some light walking without assistance and able to comfortably carry your own camera gear. We’ll be in warm weather bright sunshine, basically being on the beach on a sunny day. Bring some sunscreen, and dress comfortably. You agree you are traveling and attending this travel and model photography adventure at your own risk—in other words, practice safety and common sense, something we stress to everyone—this is our 17th year in conducting photography workshops and adventures, it works!

Lighting equipment is provided, just bring your cameras, but you may bring your own lighting gear too, it’s up to you. It is very unique in format ensuring quality photography.

Model, Photography Workshop

One of our models from a previous photography workshop.

Departure is anytime Monday or when you choose as many people in the past stay longer and make a week of Hawaii. We recommend you use Orbitz or Hotels.com, or a similar website to locate your hotel of your choice, but we recommend staying in the Kaanapali area as traffic in other areas can cause time delays. Somewhere near Whaler’s Village is best as you can walk the boardwalk and save on parking charges. We recommend you fly to Maui early and/or stay a few days afterwards and make it a vacation! Bring your spouse!

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and lodging are not included, though we will provide some refreshments. We will encourage group activities, but you are not required to participate, such as dinner at a local establishment and a Luau.

We recommend you rent a small vehicle for your traveling to and from the workshop location and for your own enjoyment on your free time. While we’ll do our best to transport you if you do not have a rental vehicle, though we cannot guarantee this part, as rental properties and hotels are scattered throughout the island. A rental car is highly recommended, especially if you want to explore all the island offers. Model releases for this event is $100 per model at the end of the event ($500 total for the entire event). These are mandatory releases, not optional like other workshops, paid on the last day of the event. These releases are provided and allow you to use the images for commercial use and the only restriction is prohibitions for adult related material—nudes are artistic and glamour nude only. This workshop is open to all levels, but places an emphasis that you seriously want to capture some great photos and take your photography up to the next level!

You are required to arrive no later than 7:00 p.m., local time, in the Moab on a Thursday and meet at a central location that evening, then be prepared to shoot all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Departure is on Monday on your own or when you choose. Hotel recommendations will be provided, most hotels are close together and average from $100 to $150 per night but we have a preferred location that has a special workshop rate, but only revealed to you upon booking your workshop slot. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and lodging are not included.

Artistic, glamour and exotic nudes will be available in this location.

This semi-private instruction workshop includes personal instruction from Rolando and use of his lighting gear along with the models and make-up. You are guaranteed to produce some great images you can be proud of. Cancellation rules apply as this is a first-come, first-serve event limited to five photographers only, but more specific cancellation policies are modified to include that should you be qualified for a refund or partial refund, there will be a 30-day waiting period.

Amazing rock formations for some great photography in the Moab.

Shot exactly as seen, the creative possibilities are endless.

Amazing images in locations scouted out in advance that are rarely photographed as these are off-road locations found through exploring.

Virgin Islands-Nov 09′ (SOLD-OUT)

Date: 11/5-10/2009 (SOLD OUT)
Venue: U.S. Virgin Islands
Details: The first Virigin Islands worskhop sold-out in less than 2-weeks!  All of the VI workshops for 2008 sold-out, most sold-out a year in advance!  All of the 2008 workshops are sold-out! Here’s your chance if you missed out to book early for 2009!  Only Twelve Photographers and Six Models per workshop.  First-come, first-serve!

This will be our 20th Virgin Islands workshop.    The dates are Nov. 5th-10th, 2009.  Fly in on Nov. 5th (Thurs.) to St. Thomas (Airport code STT) then we ferry over to a smaller island where it’s private, camp-style workshop–open to all levels of photography, from beginners to advanced–your departure day is Nov.10th (Tuesday) unless you choose to stay longer in St. Thomas on your own.

These workshops promise to be better than the best workshops ever done–this is not a foreign country, this is the U.S. Virgin Islands! No currency conversions, no foreign language, no crazy inflated value-added taxes or worries about the food and water or your camera equipment held in customs till you pay the “bribe.” Currently a U.S. passport it not required, provided you present a government issued identification card, such as a driver’s license.

(All images below, photographed at previous Virgin Islands’ Workshops, actual models, equipment and location featured!)

We’ve got a place that rocks! The location was featured on HGTV this year and Brad Pitt filmed parts for one of his movies on this secluded island part of the islands.  It’s not your “typical tourist hotel” trap found in other workshops–this is a private paradise 10-minutes from St. Thomas giving us great sunsets, sunrises, private infinity-pool shots with the ocean blue/green waters and golden sunsets in the background.
